Natural History Walking Tour
Hike where history happened! Explore the natural and geological history of Harbor Springs with Doug Fuller during our “Natural Harbor Springs” walking tour on Friday, May 20. The tour begins at 1:00 pm at the Harbor Springs History Museum (349 E Main St).
Register today to take part in this unique, 3-mile tour highlighting the bluffs, sand spits and water features that make up the distinctive landscape of our town. The tour includes steps and steep inclines as well as a trek through the trails of the Naas, Mauger, Raunecker, and Leslie Nature Preserve off 4th Street.

For decades, the Odawa of Northern Michigan participated in some of the largest tourist draws in the state: pageants and plays held right here in Harbor Springs. Join historian Eric Hemenway to explore the story of these exhibitions and see how that story goes beyond the performances themselves and delves into the social and political climate of the early 20th century.
